Thanet compact implementation group

At the last meeting of Thanet Compact Implementation Group it was agreed that we would write to the three hundred Voluntary & Community Organisations operating within Thanet inviting them to sign up to the Thanet Compact. It was also agreed that we would write to all Statutory Sector Chief Executives asking them to include reference to and adhere to the spirit of the Thanet Compact when drafting service level agreements and contracts with Voluntary & Community Sector organisations operating across Thanet.

A disputes and consultation procedure for the Thanet Compact

The Thanet Compact Implementation Group is currently in the process of drafting a Disputes Procedure which will be aligned with the Kent Partners Compact and the National Compact. The document will be a procedure for resolving issues that concern partners who have signed up to the Thanet Compact and issues that concern the Compact itself. This document is aimed to run alongisde any previously established procedures and will not replace or override any organisations' complaints and appeals process which is already in existence.

Alongside the Disputes Procedure will run a model for a Consultation Process which is also in the process of being drafted by the Thanet Compact Implementation Group.

Training

Thanet Compact Impletmentation Group are currently working together with local Voluntary Sector Infrastructure organisations and other Voluntary & Community Sector Groups to develop a training programme highlighting the benefits of partnership working.
